What's On in Park City & Summit County This Weekend (Oct. 9 to 11)
Park City's 10th annual Shot Ski takes over Main Street on Saturday, Park City Film has a full weekend run plus a free family matinee, and Dine About gives you an easy reason to try somewhere new for dinner.
8 Oct 2026

The Shot Ski is the obvious headline this weekend, but the better plan is to make a full Park City day around it. Go into town early, see the new Kimball Art Center exhibition, watch Main Street fill up, then finish with a prix-fixe Dine About dinner or a film at the Santy.
Saturday: the 10th Annual Park City Shot Ski
Park City Sunrise Rotary and High West Distillery are marking ten years of the Main Street Shot Ski. The 2026 goal is 1,430 simultaneous shots after Breckenridge edged the previous record.
When: Saturday, Oct. 10, 2 to 3 p.m.
Where: Historic Main Street, Park City
Participant status: Sold out
Age: Strictly 21+ for ticketed participants, with government ID required
Why it matters: The event raises money for the Park City Sunrise Rotary Club's community grant program. The organizer says last year's event raised more than $50,000 for local nonprofits.

Even without a participant ticket, expect Main Street to be busy. Do not assume normal parking or traffic patterns.
All month: Park City Dine About
Dine About is running throughout October with more than 30 participating restaurants.
Dates: Oct. 1 to 31
Lunch: Two-course menus at $15, $20 or $25
Dinner: Three-course menus at $30, $45 or $65
Après: $20 cocktail-and-snack specials at participating businesses
Why go: This is the easiest way to make the weekend feel local rather than treating Main Street only as an event venue.

Check the event page for current participating restaurants before deciding where to book.
Friday to Sunday: The Weight at Park City Film
Park City Film's weekend feature is The Weight, starring Ethan Hawke and Russell Crowe.
Friday: 7 p.m.

Sunday: 6 p.m.
Where: Park City Film at the Santy, 1255 Park Ave, Park City
Run time: 115 minutes
Rating: R
Standard ticket prices: $8 general, $7 students and seniors, $6 Park City Film members

Park City Film is also screening The Sheep Detectives as part of its Family Film Fest series with Park City Library.
When: Saturday, Oct. 10, 4 p.m.
Cost: Free
Rating: PG
Run time: 109 minutes
Why go: If the Shot Ski is not your scene, this gives families a genuinely strong indoor alternative at almost exactly the same time.
Kimball Art Center: Between the Lines
The Kimball Art Center's current exhibition, Between the Lines: Stories Told Through Abstraction, brings together international artists using line, color and pattern to explore identity, place and memory.
Dates: On display through Jan. 3, 2027
Saturday and Sunday hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: 1251 Kearns Blvd, Park City, UT 84060
Admission: Kimball Art Center states that its exhibitions are free
Why go: It is an easy pre-Shot Ski stop and gives you something substantial to do if the weather turns.
CREATE PC Local Artists Collective
Visit Park City lists CREATE PC as open Wednesday through Sunday.
Hours: Noon to 6 p.m.
Why go: If you are already downtown or browsing local work, this is an easy add-on rather than a separate trip.

A suggested weekend
Friday: Dine About dinner, then The Weight at 7 p.m.
Saturday morning: Kimball Art Center at 10 a.m. and lunch before the crowds build.

Saturday evening: Dine About again somewhere different, or The Weight at 7 p.m.
Sunday: Slow morning, CREATE PC or Kimball Art Center, then the 6 p.m. film if you skipped it earlier.
